Summary:

  • This is a strategy to get more loads from Brokers & Shippers. This is a guide to show you how to bid on multiple loads to earn more business (dedicated consistent loads weekly).

Step by step how to:

  • A.) Contact a Broker you've ran multiple loads for over the past 90 days. Example: TQL, Coyote, NTG, CH Robinson, Etc (The Big Name Brokers).

  • B.) Ask to talk to a " Carrier Sales Rep " tell the representative you would like to run more loads for Coyote and you want to know if you can " Bid " on multiple loads picking-up out of the Greater Atlanta area (or Greater Chicago, Indianapolis, Dallas, Etc..). The Carrier Sales Rep should say " YES. "

  • C.) Tell them you're looking for all loads picking up out of Greater Atlanta within a 30-mile radius from the city.

  • D.) The Carrier Sales Rep will get your Name, Email and Phone # and your Equipment type (DV, RF, FB, Etc) and email you an Excel sheet with the loads that match what you're looking for.

  • E.) You then need to hop on DAT and look up the lanes and quote each lane, one by one, with what rate per mile (RMP) you want for the loads they're offering you. Or you can quote them a flat all-in rate (not per mile).

Save that file and email it back to the Carrier Sales Rep and the Rep will look through all the lanes that you bid on and tell the Brokers what your pricing is. If they like your pricing they will award you the lane, and that's how you get yourself consistent dedicated freight from a Broker. Again, the broker " Does Not " want to have to post their loads on DAT.com every day. They 1,000% would much rather give you the loads for the whole month and move on to other things they need to be doing than booking loads all day. I used to do this with Coyote, NTG, Publix, Home Depot, USPS, Boeing, Apple, Etc... They all do it. Just run a minimum of 3 loads with a big-name broker within 90 days and then call in and ask to get a Carrier RFP to quote multiple local lanes near your home.
