What is Carrier411.com? (“Yelp” but for Trucking)

Carrier411 is a website you should 100% be aware of. This is a website that operates just like Yelp, but for the Trucking industry. When you go to a restaurant you can hop on Yelp and write out a review based on your experience. Example: “I had an outstanding experience at the Cheesecake Factory off of Peachtree Street. My server was Alisha and she made our visit outstanding!! If you get a chance to come to this Cheesecake Factory ask for Alisha. She provided A+ service and took care of all our special orders. We will definitely be coming back.”
Carrier411.com is the exact same thing but for Trucking companies. So, when you’re running a load for a Broker, or a Direct Shipper, a Freight Forwarder, Etc., they can write a review on your performance (good or bad). The Shipper where you’re getting loaded to pick up the fright is watching you. The Receiver where you’re delivering the freight is watching you. They have to sign off on the pickup and delivery of the freight, so if the Carrier arrives late to the pickup, that Shipper will tell the Broker, and the Broker will hop on Carrier411.com and write a review on that Carrier. Example: “MC:996633 Bull Dog Trucking, LLC was put on a load to run from Miami, FL to Atlanta, GA and the truck showed up 30 mins late for delivery. This Carrier is not responsible. I do not recommend them.” This is now a negative review that shows up on Carrier411.com that every Broker or Shipper in the United States can see.
Brokers, before they book loads with Carriers, will tell them, “Yes I can give you the load, but first let me check your MC#.” They will take the Trucking Company’s MC# and type it into Carrier411.com. If there are negative reviews, they might not give the Carrier the load. This happens all the time. “Hey, Carrier411 says you’ve been late to several deliveries, and this load that you’re calling about has to be delivered on time. Sorry, but I can’t give it to you.”
But, all hope is not lost with this… There are tons of positive reviews on this site as well. When a carrier does a great job on a load and arrives early or on time for pickup and delivery, you can ask the Shipper or the Receiver to please pass on a positive review for you. They will then tell the Broker, and the Broker will write on Carrier411.com. “MC:887755 Max Express, LLC did an outstanding job running a load for us. We had a delay at the shipper which caused the truck to have to wait for 3hrs to get loaded, but we gave them detention and the carrier was very patient with the shipper and with loading. Also, the driver helped with the loading as the shipper was shorthanded. GREAT job! I highly recommend Max Express.”
These are two examples from hundreds of possible reviews. Remember, doing a great job and protecting your Trucking company’s reputation in the logistics business is extremely important. Brokers use the reviews on Carrier411.com to determine the reputations of Trucking companies and whether or not they want to work with a Carrier (please see the attached examples off of Carrier411).
